Dr. Jared Bugaj
Jared Bugaj completed chiropractic school at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri this past April. He grew up in Northeast Ohio and graduated from Triway High School in 2017. He went on to earn his degree in Exercise Science from Walsh University, where he competed as a scholarship athlete in cross country and track. He graduated from Walsh in the fall of 2021. Outside the clinic, he enjoys outdoor activities like kayak fishing on the Great Lakes and fly fishing in the Rocky River. He is also on a quest to complete the seven Abbott World Marathon Majors. His passion for chiropractic is driven by a deep interest in running rehabilitation and performance and he specialize in techniques such as Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). He is also certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and Dry Needling. Dr. Leo Kormanik II DC, MS, CCSP, IDN
Dr. Leo Kormanik “treats others as he would like to be treated.” As a former elite distance runner and 2012 Olympic Trials marathon qualifier with a personal record of 2:18, his athletic career was littered with injuries. Due to these setbacks, he dedicated himself to learning the best ways to treat and prevent injuries swiftly and effectively, shortening the athlete’s recovery time and preventing future setbacks.
Dr. Leo is recognized by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP). This means he is one in a select group of chiropractic providers capable of treating athletes at the highest level of professional sports. He has also volunteered as a physician for USA Track and Field and USA Gymnastics at numerous events, including many Olympic Trials and World Championships. In 2016, he completed an internship at the Olympic Training Center headquarters, helping to prep the various USA teams and individual athletes before the Rio Olympics. Dr. Leo has been selected numerous times as a team chiropractor for multiple international track and field championships, including the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Trials for the marathon and Track and Field and the 2023 PanAm games in Chile.
Dr. Leo attended Life University in Atlanta, GA (2008-2011), earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Masters in Sports Injury Management. Born in Akron, OH, and a graduate and Hall of Fame member of Malone University in Canton, OH, he chose to bring his passion for performance health home to northeast Ohio by opening Ohio Sports Chiropractic in 2012. Dr. Leo consistently treats professional athletes in his private practice in various sports. Some of his patients are UFC fighters and WWE wrestlers; NHL, MLB, NFL, and NBA players; NCAA Division I All-American athletes in swimming, running, and more.
Dr. Leo is a thought leader and content creator with his YouTube “Running Rehab” page and podcast “Mind Body Marathon.” On these platforms, he explores ways to effectively rehab injuries, improve performance, and optimize health. Dr. Leo is always a student open to learning new techniques and exploring research and new schools of thought to bring his patients the most innovative, individualized, and effective treatment possible.
When he isn’t out for a run, treating an athlete, or learning something new, you can find him spending time with his family or off on an adventure anywhere the road may take him.

Dr. Matthew Pisanelli DC, CCSP
Dr. Matthew Pisanelli earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron. He then decided, following an injury, to go into chiropractic school. Dr. Matt graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2014. While attending NYCC, he was able to maintain a Deans list GPA throughout college. During his studies, he learned a variety of adjustment techniques such as Activator, Gonstead, and Diversified. Since graduating he has become Graston, NIMMO, Active release technique (ART) whole body and Nerve entrapment certified, and IDN dry needling certified. He is currently active in the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) realm and recently earned his Chiropractic Sports Physician Certification (CCSP).
While in chiropractic school Dr. Matt participated in Chiro-Games as a member of the winning distance team. He enjoys the outdoors, and avidly hikes, runs, and fishes. One of his proudest accomplishments is completing 28 of the 46 high peaks in the Adirondack State Park, in New York. Dr. Matt’s running career has ranged from the 800/1600m in high school up to the half marathon. Outside of treatment, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. They enjoy family hikes, trips to the zoo, and running around outside.
